Last weekend I am going to Atlantic City for a friend’s bachelor party and I notice that there are wind turbines. There are four wind turbines spinning and one not doing anything. Whoever was the moron that engineered/set up these wind turbines I am sorry to say but you must go back to school. When setting up wind turbines the only way that they can be effective is by spinning to collect the wind and transferring it into energy that can be used. Unfortunately there is a wind turbine which millions of dollars were spent on that isn’t effective. That is some useless spending but I am going to guess that they had to put it into the location that it is in now because of looks. If people want wind turbines use them to their full affect and not just put them up so they can say they put up some wind turbines.

People are so worried about looking good that they don’t really think. Wind turbines are an awesome way to produce energy but they can’t be here or there because of a minuscule look. Let’s put it somewhere else where it isn’t as effective. It could easily be put somewhere where it is more affective and less attractive rather than spending money on getting them and then putting it somewhere where it isn’t effective.

ibfjqcyp3v

There is huge demand for renewable energy now but the fad right now is wind turbines. Why? In order to have one of these turbines it requires a lot of money, good wind and a lot of space. When I work at events selling and talking about renewable energy people always come up to me and ask about wind turbines. What these people don’t realize is that these wind turbines are much more expensive than solar or the program I am with. For a home to produce enough energy from a wind turbine they would spend roughly 30-50k. Where as buying a solar system for 20k.

However that shouldn’t be the point that I should make. People are so obsessed with buying something to reduce their cost of energy. People need to be less worried about incentives and getting different energy but more worried about how much energy they spend. If a household conserves the amount of energy that they have then that in itself would lower their bills and also reduce the impact on the earth. It is crucial that people aren’t taking the easy way out and offsetting their carbon or buying new products to consume energy just to make it green. What people need to do is be smart about their energy consumption. People blindly consume and never give it a second thought.

Rather than buying a 50k system to save on energy a family could buy energy saving products or even cheaper buying a power strip and plugging cords into the strip. When the electronics aren’t being used turn that strip off. When you are at dinner don’t watch tv! Why watch tv when you could take 30 mins to 1 hour out of your day to talk with your family. When you aren’t in a room turn off the lights. Also don’t leave the charger on overnight or during the day. A cell phone charger or computer is constantly using energy and instead of leaving them plugged in unplug them. Turn your computer off at night because whatever you are downloading isn’t really that important.

I am going to start releasing my green updates here rather than at my old site sedao15.wordpress.com. You will be able to read about the Mariners, fantasy baseball, and health at my old site but here I will only talk about green related topics. So far I have a page on green incentives and sustainable/renewable products. Once I get settled in I will actually get started but for now just know that I am going to giving my opinions no holds barred.
